Heidi McKinnon

Heidi McKinnon is an author/illustrator who lives in Naarm/Melbourne. In 2017, Heidi published her first picture book, I Just Ate My Friend, to critical acclaim. It was shortlisted for numerous awards, including the CBCA Crichton Award, and has been published around the world, including in the USA, France, Japan, China and Korea. Since then, Heidi has established herself as one of Australia's most exciting creators. She publishers with Scholastic, Allen & Unwin and now Little Book Press.

Zoe Gaetjens

Zoe Gaetjens is a children’s author and high-school English teacher living and working on Dharug Country. She is a member of both SCBWI and the CBCA, and has served as Vice President for the Illawarra South Coast CBCA sub branch. Zoe won the Creative Kid’s Tales Anthology Competition in 2016, placed second in the 2018 Just Write For Kid’s Pitch It and was pleased to receive an honourable mention from Jackie French in the 2018 Buzz Words Short Story Competition. You might find her wrangling her 3 kids, borrowing way too many library books or sharing cake and book recommendations with family and friends.
