Little Book Press was officially launched in 2017 and is the publishing arm of Raising Literacy Australia (RLA). Its vision is to produce high-quality children’s picture books, board books, and educational resources to connect families worldwide.
All proceeds from Little Book Press book sales go back to creating RLA programs that support families reading, talking, playing, and singing with their children from birth. Our programs provide reading packs, books, training and resources that help families to nurture children’s development and establish a love of reading and lifelong learning.
Each Little Book Press title is carefully and thoughtfully designed to support young children’s foundational literacy and numeracy development. The aim is to expose children to high-quality resources that support their brain development in the formative years.
All Little Book Press titles have matching, free activity and learning times available to download at www.littlebookpress.com.au. Many also have accompanying activity books and educational resources, along with related videos such as storytimes on our YouTube channels.
Raising Literacy Australia is thrilled to support the development and growth of children through the sharing of stories. We know that a well-written book — whether fiction or nonfiction —can capture a child’s imagination. Not every child can visit a farm, ride on a tractor, walk with the dinosaurs, or fly an aeroplane. However, a picture book can immerse a child in that experience.
We look forward to sharing a wonderful world of stories from Little Book Press for many years to come.
